More Awards and Recognition
Tony Cerovski was awarded the Bud Peters Award for 2017. However, Tony gave his Bud Peters Award trophy to Kim MacLeod to acknowledge her proven gusto! Afterward the meeting, Tony discovered a set of wood bands in his truck. Janet told Tony that he received a set of wood bands from Jim Guinn as a recipient of the Bud Peters Award. Jim is the owner of Guinn Bands in Yorba Linda, California. Thank you Jim!

Mike Kossor, inventor-seller of the E-Timer and the Electronically Cranked Coil Tester (ECCT), donated $250 for the award banquet again this year. Another supporter of the Montana 500 since 2003 is Tom and Suzie Carnegie at the Antique Auto Ranch. They donate time and web space for our Montana 500 History, rules, notifications, race results and more.
Finally, to the winner of the 2017 Montana 500: Dennis Powers won it after years of trying. Congratulations Dennis, you are the one to beat nest year!
