The President’s Message

Bill Mullins President 2017-2018 m00nmullins@yahoo.com

The 500 will be held in Missoula Montana this year starting on June 18, 2017. The base hotel is My Place. Information is shown within this newsletter and http://www.antiqueautoranch.com/montana500 . This year we will be using some of Interstate 90 and routes northeast of Missoula.
So far we have 11 registered at the Motel My Place & about 20 drivers coming as of now. I hope to see every one again this year for a good time. We have a couple of new cars being built this year one in my shop belonging to Russell Hanna coming along good. I believe another car is being readied by Don MacLeod.
We have a new safety inspection list posted on the above web link. You can download it and use it to do an inspection of your car. It is included in this newsletter on the last two pages. You will need to sign this safety inspection form stating that you’ve done it.
Hope to have you all return this year for a great run. A history note: The 1999 500 was run in Missoula and the winner was Simon Nickol with an average speed 45.9 mph running with a restrictor plate. It will be interesting to see what this year will produce.
Russell Hanna and I went to Missoula this past week & stayed with Rick Bonebright who is being a great help. We drove the perspective routes and will try for the following:
