NOVEMBER 4, 2000<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">GREAT FALLS, MONTANA<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">The Annual Fall Meeting was brought to order at 11 a.m. November 4<sup>th,<\/sup> by Vice President Stan Howe. Members present were Stan Howe, Nan Robison, Sam Nickol, Rick and Carla Carnegie, Tom and Suzie Carnegie, Scott Stubbert, Tony and Janet Cerovski, George Nickol, Jeremy Gunderson, Josh Billmayer, Doug Langel.<br \/>\nGuests present were Mike and Dave Robison.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">A Treasurer report was given. The minutes of the 1999 meeting were read and approved.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Tony Cerovski made a motion to make the Unofficial Montana 500 website,<\/span> <span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><a style=\"color:#0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.antiqueautoranch.com\/montana500\">www.antiqueautoranch.com\/montana500<\/a> <\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\">the Official Montana 500 website. Seconded and approved. Tom Carnegie will continue to be webmaster. Was discussed, and decided not to buy our own domain at this time, but rather continue to use<\/span> <span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><a style=\"color:#0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.antiqueautoranch.com\/\">www.antiqueautoranch.com<\/a><\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">ELECTION OF NEW OFFICERS:<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Elected for President: Sam Nickol<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">Vice President: Rick Carnegie<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">Treasurer: Janet Cerovski<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">Secretary: Carla Carnegie<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">Correspondence<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">Secretary: Tom Carnegie<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Tony has said he will help Sam out, where needed, by phone or otherwise. Tom Carnegie will stay on as a Director, along with Rick Carnegie. A motion was made by George to continue to have treasurer be a voting Director for the Treasurer\/Secretary position. Secretary and Correspondence Secretary will not be director positions unless otherwise elected. Scott seconded and was passed. George Nickol\u2019s term will expire in 2002. He was re-elected by ballot. The other Directors remaining are: Doug Langel, Stan Howe, Simon Nickol, Tony Cerovski.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">RACE ROUTE:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">Stan made motion to run out of Kalispell area&nbsp;in 2001.&nbsp;Janet seconded. There were 6 for and 6 against, with Sam Nickol breaking the tie vote. So, race will go from the Kalispell area.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">Motion made for Tour Day by Tony C. as optional.&nbsp; George seconded and was passed.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">When registrations are mailed out, there will be a suggestion vote as to the Tour Route with the decision made the first day of the race. DATES:&nbsp; Jun 17, cars arrive and inspected. June 18-20 RACE. June 21, TOUR.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">RULE CHANGES:<\/span><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">A.&nbsp; Motion made by George to add rule &#8220;All T&#8217;s must be assembled from stock parts or reproduction parts equal to stock specifications. Cars must have four fenders, splash aprons, runningboards, front splash apron, dash, and radiator shell and all replacement body parts must be made of metal, with the following exceptions:&#8221; seconded by Tom C. and passed.<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">B.&nbsp; Motion made by Tom to add rule: &#8220;Fuel Line not to exceed 3\/8&#8243; I.D.&#8221; seconded and passed<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">C.&nbsp; Rule 23 as it exists: Only stock cast iron or aluminum intake manifolds with ports not to exceed 1 1\/8&#8243; diameter allowed. New manufactured exhaust manifolds with ports not to exceed 1 1\/8&#8243; are allowed. Motion was made to strike the word &#8220;exhaust&#8221;. Seconded and passed.<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">D.&nbsp; Motion was made to clarify whether aluminum and cast-iron were two class or raced head to head in one class. Aluminum and cast iron are one class. Seconded and passed.<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">E.&nbsp; Discussed camshaft end-play thrust washers. Though several people are using them no rule was made one way or the other to specifically allow them.<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">F.&nbsp; Rule 34 as it exists: Zerk fittings in place of oil and grease cups are optional. Move to strike rule 41. Seconded and passed.<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">G.&nbsp; Much discussion on specifics of line boring the engine main bearings. The possibility of someone rotating the main-line around the radius of the camshaft was brought up. No rule was made to address this. Motion was made to change rule 47 to say:\u201dThe crankshaft must be Model \u201cT\u201d Ford script with a stock stroke of four (4) inches. Chroming, hardening or grinding of the journals allowed, not to exceed 1.250\u201d maximum or 1.208\u201d minimum. Seconded and carried.<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">H.&nbsp; Rule 53 as it exists: \u201cBonded type bands optional.\u201d Motion was made to change rule to say: \u201cType of band material optional.\u201d Seconded and carried.<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I.&nbsp; Rule 57 as it exists: \u201cAdjustable lifters are optional.\u201d Motion was made to change the rule to say: \u201cAdjustable flat tappet (pushrods) are allowed.\u201d Seconded and carried.<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">J.&nbsp; Rule 63 as it exists: \u201cTour day mileage is mandatory. Cars not completing tour mileage will receive a 1 hour penalty.\u201d Motion as made to strike rule 63. Seconded and carried.<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">K.&nbsp; Rule 25 as it exists: \u201cOnly stock Ford roller type, NewDay or Anderson flapper type timers allowed. Quick couplers NOT ALLOWED in timer wires.\u201d Motion was made to change rule to say: \u201c Correct for era type timers may be used.\u201d Motion died for lack of a second.<\/span><\/h5>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">NEW BUSINESS:<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Discussed running a Speedster run concurrently with T run provided Speedster Club plans and runs their own race. Just be based out of same city and place as T run. No decision made.<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Discussed sticking with June Run, or changing to another time in summer. Decided that June is still best time, August has too much traffic, and it can be very hot.
