2001 History

The 2001 Montana 500 

was headquartered out of Kalispell. Day one June 18th. Leg one of the run was 49 miles from Whitefish to Eureka. Leg two was 68 miles to Libby. Leg three was 23 miles back to Happy’s Inn. Leg four was 46 miles to Kalispell. Second Day June 19th: Leg five, 47 miles Streeter’s Corner to Condon. Leg 6 and 7, 31 miles Seeley Lake and back. Leg 8, 45 miles to Streeter’s Corner. Day 3, June 20th. Leg 9, 24 miles, Woody’s Corner to West Glacier. Leg 10 and 11, 55 miles going to and 56 miles coming from East Glacier. Leg 12, 24 miles to Woody’s Corner. Total miles 501. Day 4. Tour around Flathead Lake.

2000 History

The 2000 Montana 500 was headquartered out of Great Falls. Day one June 19th. Leg one of the run was 47 miles from Great Falls to Loma. Leg two was 60 miles to Havre. Leg three was 60 miles back to Loma. Leg four was 47 miles to Great Falls. Second Day June 20th: Leg five, 31 miles Great Falls to Choteau. Leg 6, 55 miles Choteau to Valier. Leg 7, 84 miles Valier to Great Falls. Day 3, June 21st. 8th and last leg. 85 miles, Great Falls to Shelby. Total miles 469. Day 4. Tour to Glacier Park, and Going to the sun highway.

Day two: Missoula to Anaconda and back 200 miles

Day three: Bonner to Ovando to Milltown 88 miles
